Sweeten Gas Streams and Save

Typical Solid Bed/Sacrificial Media Arrangement
Instead of absorbing H2S, the SULFUR RITE® system chemically changes H2S into a safe and stable compound: iron pyrite. Sour gas fed into an inlet travels downward through the vessel containing the SULFUR RITE® media. The H2S reacts with the iron-based media to form iron pyrite. Each batch removes three to five times more H2S than iron sponge systems, resulting in longer media life. In addition, spent media can be sent to any landfill, reducing handling costs.
In a dual vessel, lead/lag configuration mode, two vessels are used, each containing one half of the total media. The vessels operate in series, with one vessel in the lead position, the other in the lag position. With this design, you enjoy 100% media utilization and continuous treatment during media replacement.
The media is non-toxic, non-hazardous, non-pyrophoric, and environmentally safe in both unreacted and reacted forms. The media removes three to five times more hydrogen sulfide than a typical iron sponge system. The system does not produce any toxic or corrosive by-products or side reactions when processing sour gas.
