MERICON™

MERICON™ technologies are on-site solutions for processing spent caustics for BOD/COD reduction, odor control and/or pH adjustment. It employs neutralization and/or oxidation steps to produce a neutral brine effluent stream acceptable for routing to wastewater treating facilities, evaporation ponds or waterways.

MERICON™ technology was first licensed in 1988 and to date Merichem has granted 27 unit operating licenses world-wide. The design of the system is based on more than 75 years of first-hand operating knowledge gained from Merichem-owned plants. This when coupled with Merichem’s extensive licensing experience, makes MERICON™ the technology-of-choice.
