Technical Services
Merichem has an excellent reputation in the refining and petrochemical industries by providing quality technical services to our customers. Technical services offered to our customer’s include:
- Technical assistance prior to start-up. Pre-commissioning activities (mechanical checkout) include on-site inspection of installed equipment and training. Training activity includes detailed, on-site classroom and field explanation of the operating system, clarification of laboratory procedures, maintenance procedures, and hands-on operation of field equipment.
- Technical assistance during start-up.
- Timely troubleshooting of unit operations, either on-site or by telephone, fax or email.
- Routine technical service visits or calls not initiated by the customer. Unsolicited and routine technical service calls and visits are conducted on a regular basis to stay abreast of our licensees needs. The Technical Service Engineer assigned to each licensee is the primary communication contact beginning at the pre-commissioning stage and continuing during operation of the treating system for the purpose of providing feedback and information to our licensees to optimize unit operations.
- In-plant treating unit studies that offer improvements and solutions to difficult hydrocarbon caustic and amine treating problems as well as effluent treatment and disposal requirements.
Data collected during refinery visits and contacts are used to aid in troubleshooting and to continuously improve Merichem technologies and more specifically the operation of treating units.
