Gas Technology Products Announces the Sale of a LO CAT® System to Caltex Australia Pty for Removal of Hydrogen Sulfide from Refinery Fuel Gas.
Schaumburg, Ill., August 2007 — The Gas Technology Products division of Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Service LLC is currently designing a sulfur recovery unit (SRU) for Caltex Australia Pty, to be installed at their refinery Located in Lytton, Queensland, Australia.
The system will process the H2S from the refinery fuel gas. This is all part of an Ultra Low Sulfur Diesel project at the refinery. The required sulfur removal capacity is 10 metric tons/day and will be achieved with the LO CAT® Hydrogen Sulfide Oxidation Process. The LO CAT unit will reduce the H2S levels to less than 10 ppmv.
