FIBER FILM® Contactor Technology Selected for Revamp Project in Shell Refinery in Singapore

Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte Ltd. has selected Merichem Chemicals & Refinery Services’ technologies for a revamp project at its refinery in Pulau Bukom, Singapore. Merichem will supply its THIOLEX™ and REGEN® technologies to treat Propane/Propylene, Butane/Butylene & Light Cat-Cracked Gasoline streams in order to meet final product specifications. These technologies are based on Merichem’s state of the art non-dispersive FIBER FILM® Contactor technology.

Shell Pulau Bukom is the largest Shell refinery globally in terms of crude distillation capacity. It is a key regional supply and trading centre for the Shell Group in the East.
