Product Overview

  • ARI-350  is a proprietary blend of stabilized chelating agents used in a make-up catalyst additive in Merichem’s LO-CAT process
  • The primary hazard is as an eye and skin irritant.  The material is harmful if swallowed and contains a component suspected of causing cancer. 
  • The material is stable at standard temperature and pressure and is not reactive.

Physical/Chemical Properties

  • ARI-350 is a clear to yellowish colored liquid with a slight amine odor.
  • pH = 9.5 – 12.4 – slightly caustic
  • Boiling point = 219°F, Freeze Point = -4°F
  • Flash point = NA
  • Vapor Pressure: 25 mm Hg, approximate
  • Not an oxidizer and not explosive
  • Water soluble
  • Stable (not reactive) at standard temperature and pressure

Health Information

ARI-350 is harmful if swallowed.  Can cause serious eye and skin irritation.  Contains a component suspected of causing cancer.

Skin contact

Immediately remove clothing from affected area and wash skin for 15 minutes with flowing water and soap. Clothing should be discarded or washed before reuse. SEEK medical assistance if irritation develops.


Call a physician immediately. Do not induce vomiting unless instructed by physician. If victim is conscious, rinse mouth with water and give plenty of water to drink.


If symptomatic, move victim to fresh air. Seek medical attention of symptoms persist.

Eye Contact

Immediately irrigate eyes with flowing water continuously for 15 minutes while holding eyes open. Contact lenses should be removed before or during flushing. Obtain medical attention immediately. Do not attempt to neutralize with chemical agents.

For large spills, dike for later disposal.  For small spill, absorb with vermiculite or other inert material, and then place in a container for chemical waste.  Flush area with water.  Prevent runoff from entering drains, sewers, or streams.
