DIESEL

As would be expected the impurities that come into the refinery with the crude oil and those generated in refinery processes need to be eliminated from the products before they are sent to storage as marketable products. The goal of chemically treating refinery products is to improve their color, odor, water content, interaction with water, sulfur content, oxidation stability and corrosion characteristics. Several of these treating goals can be achieved with extractive caustic treatment. The specific FIBER FILM®- technologies that are applicable to removing naphthenic acids from Diesel are our NAPFINING™ and NAPFINING™ HiTAN processes.
