Steel Coke Plant

In the late 1980’s and early 1990’s the LO CAT® process was piloted in three separate coke oven gas operations. The success of this LO CAT® pilot testing program confirmed that the technology could withstand the harsh coke oven gas compositions (HCN, NH3, particulates, etc…) and lead to removal of H2S on a commercial scale. The first commercial scale application of the LO CAT® process, in North America, for H2S removal from coke oven gas with the LO CAT® process started up in 1993 and operated for _ years.
