Project Manager/Sr. Project Manager—Gas Technology Products

This position requires a bachelor’s degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of experience as a Project Manager and/or Project Engineer. Responsibilities will involve managing Retrofit and Modular projects. The job responsibilities include extensive client interface both domestic and international. Oversee and manage the project budgets, schedules and cost expenditures of assigned projects. The PM must have good knowledge of modular system fabrication, including structural, piping, vessel, insulation, rotating equipment and I&E design. The PM must also manage subcontracts for Engineering, Fabrication of piping, structural steel and vessels, and other services such as painting, insulation and I&E work. Responsible for completing or reviewing scope of work, requisitions and purchase order to subcontractors.  Will be required to review subcontractor work including engineering documents, estimate personnel needs and schedule and assign work to meet required completion dates. Senior Project Managers will also be responsible for negotiating sub-contracts and revisions to contracts.

Demonstrated ability to build and lead a team, manage interpersonal relationship, ability to handle conflict, and accept accountability for team results. Manage communications in all directions in an effective and timely manner. Strong oral and written communication skills; able to converse with and present to audiences of all levels (technical, O&M, management etc.). Previous experience within Oracle is a plus. Knowledge of refinery processes is considered a plus but not a requirement. Work at Gas Technology Products office in Schaumburg, Illinois. Travel 10% as required.
