Sr. Mechanical Engineer—Process Technology Division

Will provide support to PTD’s engineering group in the area of mechanical engineering such as static and rotating equipment. Position requires 10+ years experience in Mechanical Design Engineering. Candidate must have experience with designing pressure vessels (ASME Sec. VIII, Div 1 with working knowledge of Compress or PVElite software), rotating equipment and heat exchangers. Able to read P&ID’s, mechanical drawings and isometrics. Skid/modular system design is a plus (according to ASME B31.3). Prefer experience with structural calculations, pipe stress analysis and FEA. Plant experience is desired but not required. Must be willing to work overtime if needed. Self-starter that matches qualifications. Travel is less than 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• 10 Years Mechanical Engineering Experience
• Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
• Intimate knowledge of ASME Section VIII
• Familiarity with ANSI and API codes

Requirements

• Pressure vessel calculations
• Client spec reviews
• Piping design and specification
• Review/Approval of other engineers work
