Business Development Manager – PTD10-0014
Process Technology Division has an immediate need for a Business Development Manager who will serve as domestic and international sales manager for direct sales activities for all existing PTD technologies including proposal preparation, follow-up, and closing for assigned geographical areas. Implement marketing activities into PTD sales efforts throughout the world. These activities are conducted in accordance with the established divisional marketing goals.
Experience Required:
- A minimum of 5 years experience in the refining industry or 5 to 7 years of experience in refinery related business. A minimum of 5 to 7 years experience in international sales of technology processes.
- Thorough knowledge of sulfur recovery and caustic, amine and acid treating of hydrocarbon streams, both liquid and gaseous.
- Significant knowledge of refinery processes and hydrocarbon product specifications.
Qualifications Required:
- Minimum BSChE degree required
- MBA desired.
- Well developed sales, and negotiating skills with verifiable ability to close complex contracts.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent written and communication skills are vital in this position.
- Able to perform assigned duties independently with minimal supervision.
Functional Requirements:
- Serve as domestic and international sales manager for direct sales activities for all existing PTD technologies including proposal preparation, follow-up, and closing for assigned geographical areas.
- Implement marketing activities into PTD sales efforts throughout the world.

- Proactively visit customers and prospects consistent with established targets and report on each.
- Identify and qualify prospects, prepare sales proposals, negotiate and close sales for inquiries received from assigned geographical areas of the world.
- Identify potential business opportunities and funnel prospects to GTP and Caustic Services as appropriate.
- Promote PTD offerings to refining, gas liquids, research and E&C firms in assigned territories.
- Provide timely and accurate input to proposal detail log database (mark up report) to allow precise production of forecast and management reports.
