Business Development Manager—CP
CMS has an immediate opening for a Business Development Manager—Chemical Products who will act as sales manager for all current and future CP sales customers, identify and develop growth opportunities for the business, coordinate raw material purchases, help to optimize sales logistics, and oversee contract administration. This position is accountable for all co-product sales and related new product/services development. Responsibilities include insuring that sales are concluded on a timely basis to adequately manage CMS co-product inventory levels, working closely with the Customer and Logistic Services (CLS) group to ensure product quality meets customer specifications, optimizing sales margins, and developing new applications and customers. Co-products being sold include, but are not limited to, refinery spent caustic solutions, refinery disulfide oils, sodium hydrosulfide solutions, virgin sodium hydroxide solutions, fuels, and other refinery and petrochemical co-product streams.
Qualifications:
- 4-Year technical degree. Chemical Engineering or Chemistry preferred.
- 10+ years of professional work experience
- 2+ years of sales experience and business development with an industrial or technology company
Experience:
- Proven experience with establishing industry-wide networks
- Skilled in identifying and capturing market requirements
- Sales, Marketing and Negotiating experience
- Skilled in Excel, PowerPoint, and Word software
Requirements:
- Meet or exceed sales goals
- Develop and meet annual budget requirements
- Grow and Diversify CP customer base
- Perform economic analyses for all accounts at regular intervals
- Provide monthly variance reports for key CP sales metrics
- Interact with the Black Warrior plant to ensure sufficient product quality and timely delivery for all orders. Participate in Production Planning activities.

- Work in headquarters Houston, TX
- Must be willing to travel as required domestic and international.
